Nothing, the point was that I got my ass handed back to me. It's just an older version of the IWAD (the first version of the full Doom 2 game basically) that I wanted to play as I was not around when the games first came out and I wanted to see how they looked and played like back then :p.

Map02 is a little harder in at least three small ways due to slightly different positioning of things:

* The sleeping sergeant doesn't sleep.

* The red key is harder to grab without opening up the monster closets.

* The sergeant that's stuck in the wall in 1.9 isn't stuck in the wall in 1.666.

Basically this map got a bit screwed up in 1.9. On the other hand, the bars that cause the spechits overflow are gone in 1.9, though this doesn't necessarily make the map any harder or easier.

 

Also, map03 lacked the backpack alcove in 1.666.
