Modding Android Doom

Is there a way to take the files from Android Doom and use it with some of the old school Doom mods that are all over the internet? And what do I need to do that? Where is there a modding community that has risen up just for the Android versions of Doom?

If you want to play custom maps and wads on Android, you need Delta Touch, and unlike Bethesdas port, it runs on the original engine and not Unity

So you would need the original wad files as opposed to what they used on Android is that what you're saying? Is there ever going to be much of a modding Community for the Android version or is the Android one pretty much impossible to mod the way the original one was?

No, you would need another app (Delta Touch) + iwad files and start installing mods/wads like on PC.

If you want Doom modding on mobile, then you have made a big mistake by buying official ports.

Let me explain a bit about Delta Touch:

It's basically a launcher that packed 5 source ports (GZDoom, Choco Doom, Zandronum, Doom Retro and PrBoom+) altogether on a very streamlined interface.

Because those are basically source ports ported to mobile with no ns attached, you can freely load any made mods for Doom by putting your installed mods in the app's mod storage folder.

It also has controller support and tweakable touch controls.

Also, the  new ports were mostly made in Unity, which will make all wads and mods incompatible due to the engines' formats unless there's a way.

The "Android one" is a total fail and isn't worth anyone's time. Delta Touch IS the way to mod for Doom on Android.
