Recommend me some good Youtube channels to watch

Recommended Posts

So I recently ran out of stuff to watch on my subscribed channels and now I'm struggling to find some new contents to watch.

You can really recommend any channels you like on Youtube, but here are my standards:

Spoiler

-Channels with little to no clickbaits.

-Channels with a reasonable upload schedule. (1-3 vids/week)

-Channels with good documentaries on specific topics (gaming, wildlife, food, etc.)

-(gaming) I prefer no commentary let's play channels. If you are trying to recommend me some usual let's play ones, then please explain why. I like Youtubers with text-based commentaries though, like whoisthisgit :)

-Channels mustn't meme related.

Also, here are channels that I have watched, in no particular order. Italic channels mean I liked those.

Spoiler

Extra Credits

Kiliks Empire

civvie 11

Gggman - this guy has a bad attitude so I have stopped watching him for a long time.

whoisthisgit

Dyng - too many clickbaits.

Game theorists - too many clickbaits.

Cinamasssare - AGVN is pretty good.

CGP

Vsauce

Marphy Black/Revenant100

Ahoy

Unbox therapy

Accursed Farms

nigahiga

GMTK

DF (Retro series)

Yong Yea - his video format are so boring I barely watch him.

BigMacDavis - one of the few exceptions to my rules.

Icarusliv3s

YSAC

Binging with Babish

Pretty much most of tempdecal and Armateus' recommended also.

JP Lebreton: https://www.youtube.com/user/jeanpaullebreton

Weekly show „WAD Wednesday“, where he plays random WADs from the idgames archive. Highly entertaining and insightful gameplay and level design commentary.

Ross‘ Game Dungeon: https://www.youtube.com/user/chilledsanity

Random Game reviews with a very likeable narrator.

Decino: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ8V9aiz50m6NVn0ix5v8RQ

Doom WAD playthroughs with insightful commentary and the occasional Doom mechanics explained video.

John Suitepee‘s Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/JohnSuitepee

Doom WAD playthroughs with commentary. Highly entertaining. Highlights users‘ „first maps“ and critiques.

Tons more, but that‘s a good start. Plenty of hours of Doom content (and other) to watch. Can probably recommend some more gaming related stuff later, if you want.

Let's see..from my own subscriptions..

Aberukun

Does longplay videos, no commentary.

EnterElysium

Let's Play channel. Has a knack for strategy games but does some other types.

Nerd Slayer/N.S

Known for his "Death of a Game" series, but does podcasts and other gaming related material.

Roanoke Gaming

Guy with a Biology degree who digs into the biology/science of video games and tries to explain things. Very interesting stuff.

Shadiversity

Digs into medieval misconceptions, swords/armor, philosophy and more.

Vash12349

Let's Player, a rather entertaining one (in my eyes that is).  Uploads regularly.

Noclip - Video game documentaries

Nostalgia Nerd - videogaming, PC hardware reviews, things of that nature

OddityArchive - Pretty much everything - Stereo equipment reviews to a Sega Pico review

Pixelmusement - Reviews DOS games and also talks about how they work, how to get them working ect.

Stop Skeletons From Fighting - Some decent game reviews

RUFUS!'s Video Game Graveyard - Decent small time game reviewer. Unfortunately he only has 8 videos but his newest one is from 3 weeks ago.

Scott Tobin - If you haven't seen the "composer's play" videos, those are a great watch.

Zero Master - The legend himself

TheWolfePit - The only food related channel i'm subbed to (besides Gordon Ramsay). Got popular because of his "What Are We Eating!" uploads which talk mainly about unhealthy processed foods. He does cook other stuff and has recipes as well though.

Most of the other ones i'm subbed to people have already stated so...yeah lol.

I find most of his videos pretty entertaining, usually on a variety of topics like technology, games, general stuff.

Uhh, I've already mentioned that I've subscribed to all 3 of his channels in my OP.

Shouls have made it clearer I guess :p

Although uploads are sporadic, danooct1 is a cool channel about old viruses. The guy who runs the channel has a voice that’s a perfect mix of professional and relaxing, equally good to pay attention to closely or fall asleep to.

^I recommend Doomkid's channel ;P (but I guess he only occasionally uploads)

I used to do Doom runs, but I just got a job, so rarely I'll run now unless it's a short map or something, or you can watch my 50 Monsters runs ;P. Decino is my favorite now, but you said you don't really want commentary, so well.

His channel is quite good, I must admit.

What I meant is I hate regular, noisy let's players that talk all the time in an overexaggerated tone in their vids.

Then you have a chance to like my stuff, but I'm not native speaker, so I basically do walkthroughs just to practice my English ;P

My favourite lets-player is probably Pagb666. Strong player and doesn't talk = Good for me.

I thought you don't commentate during gameplay. I really don't like watching on Twitch because my tablet screen is kind of difficult to tap, but I'll take a look later.

Heh, alright :p .

To be clear though, that was sarcasm anyway. This topic was for Youtubers, I'm not one.

I know ;P  Well, basically I consider Youtubers are in general video creators or something like that, not really specific. Basically I consider Youtube is one way to archive my things. That's it.
