the only way to play doom 3 multiplayer on consoles now is to use the BFG edition. but even THEN nobody plays it.

is there like a doom 3 multiplayer community somewhere?

When I was playing through DOOM 3 BFG recently I tried to find a game but came across no-one playing. I can't speak for the PC players but with the new ports not even having multiplayer I'd say its pretty much dead.

Yeah you're right. I think there was mod that enabled split-screen but that may very well have been the PC version.

Multiplayer on consoles is dead yes. If you want to play multiplayer you have to play on pc. there are still more than 10 servers running and after 9pm you will get some nice matches if you wait for a few minutes. there is still a small but active community on doom 3
