It doesn't seem to be the case as far as I am aware. All of the Doom 64 mods which bring the missing monsters back, either edit their own or grab them from other games.

No, as I'm aware... no. I think some designs or sketches could have existed but I have a hunch they were scrapped from the beginning due to game memory. If there were some designs... I'd be glad to see them!!! I think Mother Demon was created because of the missing demons: She is female just like the Spider Demon, resurrected the demons just like the Arch Vile as well as having a flame attack and firing homing balls like the Revenant.

Mother Demon I would argue is my favorite demon ever developed.  She is hardly mentioned in any lore, but is I think hardest boss fight in the series.

Indeed she is, nice to see more love for her.

 

In the classic Doom games, unless you have a fully upgraded Unmaker, she's definitely the toughest (and deadliest) boss.

I remember when I first beat DOOM 64.  Hardest difficulty, and when I got to the final boss, beat it on my first try.  Atleast on the black cartridge, there was a gltich you could manipulate (I figured this out myself, Nintendo Power didn't mention it, that I remember), but there was a way you could ride on top of the flame wave she shoots out.  it's not on the direct center of it, but more on the edge, like on top of the hit box.

 

I also remember seeing somewhere that the original day 1 release of DOOM 64 black cart, was a lot harder then the grey cart, and any other releases of the game.

I don’t think they ever intended on adding in those characters once the game was being developed past the drawing board. I think there are leftover sound effects from the PSX version that were used for the revenant which was in that version. I think they also had arch-vile sound effects recorded, but they were released later by Aubrey Hodges, the musician. None of that was for the N64 version, though. It was all leftovers for the PSX version.

Hmmm, the game and manual don´t imply that. To me , what the poster mentioned about an "Arch Vial" was a typo and I consider it an early idea before they came up with the Mother demon.

 

But, I'm sure Mother demon or Resurrector was created after a fusion between the Arch Vile, Revenant and Spider Mastermind = Revenant's homing rockets, resurrector powers and fire summoning like the Arch Vile and being a female entity amd boss like Spider Demon = Mother Demon.

She's defined by doing what the arch-viles do, but mutated into getting super-powered. (They must have used Marvel/DC radiations instead of normal radiations.)

Ughhhhhh... I have read the story so far many times and the ending says: The Mother of all demons, not an Arch Vile... I don't care about shitty Marvel/DC things...
