So there's this fanfiction kinda thing this masonicon dude reads. On the... ISS? a couple of characters play DOOM with this mod, and now he wants to create it for real. 

 

And it's apparently a mod in the style of Quake 3 except with character abilities.

In all seriousness, i would like a cartoon-y Doom, but with non-copyrighted characters. Either self-made characters, or public domain characters, or even a mix! Imagine a Sherlock Holmes or Felix the Cat Doom. That would be something to behold!

If you want full-flegded cartoony Doom mods, play Adventures of Square and Rise of the Wool Ball.

Considering this (project?) has been underway for 9 years without a single solitary piece of work to show for it other than walls of text, I'd wager a guess that updates are going to be few and far between.

I hope the promised movie is still happening and that the Doom WAD was only ever intended as a side project. I've always dreamed of a movie that features the casts of Spongebob Squarepants, My Little Pony, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, The Simpsons, Digimon, Metal Slug, Sonic the Hedgehog, Team Fortress 2, Grand Theft Auto, Scooby Doo, Deus EX, The Ghostbusters, Madoka Magica, The Power Rangers, Angry Birds and every character that's ever appeared in a Marvel vs Capcom game teaming up to take on Lex Luthor (CEO of ACME and prominent Illuminati member) along with Hannibal Lector, Jason Vorhees, Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men and Syndrome from The Incredibles who are all working for Lex Luthor.
