Video: 7 Vanilla Doom Mods & how to play them!

I decided to actually make a proper video for once! Yay!

 

This one is about 7 themed mods for Doom 2 from the 1990s that I found to be very impressive, or at least creative. These are the kinds of wads that typify oldschool Doom partial conversions - when someone says “oldschool Doom sprite replacement”, this is the kind of stuff that usually comes to mind.

 

Since running these can be a bit of a bitch even today, I’ve included detailed instructions on loading them in DOS Box.

just watched it. it was interesting, thank you. especially considering that i mostly missed those ancient TCs -- internet was something sci-fi-ish for me back then, and even those "maximum doom" CDs weren't here. please, make more "proper" videos! ;-)
