RonnieJamesDiner Posted December 12, 2019 In vanilla Doom you can't have floors/rooms on top of one another. So, to create a hallway extending out from the bottom of the pit, you'll need to just make the hallway with linedefs, and then lower both the floor and ceiling until you're happy with the height. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. As you can tell, part of the sacrifice here is creating an obstruction on the top floor, from having to lower the ceiling for the hallway. But, you just sort of have to work with this in mind, and build/plan accordingly. 2 Share this post Link to post

I think Sandy Peterson agrees with you, as he named a whole level after that concept, and they even gave it the best song in the game. 1 Share this post Link to post
bobsnowmexican Posted December 12, 2019 speaking of peterson levels i was thinking: double slough of despair maps where you teleport back and forth from each of them 1 Share this post Link to post
