Heh. I made a map section based on my former neighbors' one floor house. 0 Share this post Link to post
Doom_Dude Posted July 25, 2020 (edited) Made it to Map05 of my Vilecore Remaster. Before and after screen as usual.... Same map, different area / before and after. Edited July 25, 2020 by Doom_Dude 22 Share this post Link to post

Danz Posted July 26, 2020 Something something quick limit-removing mapping. 35 Share this post Link to post
Tango Posted July 26, 2020 @Danz I love that shot, great textures and geometry work. the sky really ties it together too! 1 Share this post Link to post
Pechudin Posted July 26, 2020 New (second) map I am working on, the last one ended in a cave so this one continues on it. I'd like to say I am starting to realize how to make more challenging Ultimate DooM combat. I am VERY partial to RL-heavy combat paired with tight quarters. Very unfinished, but I never made a large arena-styled fight. It will probably not be very good, but I cannot 'git gud' at it if I do not try. One final screenie. 27 Share this post Link to post
Pixel Fiend Posted July 27, 2020 (edited) A few screenies for you to enjoy. I have a really sweet setup for high-res and low-res modes that I switch between by a press of a button. Or two, counting the Reshade switch - the "vanilla" mode is 35 fps and the HD one has motion blur shader. Although, using motion blur on pixelated low-res reminds me of the peculiarly pleasant look I had of GZDoom playing on 1366:768 laptop so that's viable as well. 22 Share this post Link to post

BluePineapple72 Posted July 27, 2020 Made some BIG changes to my map. Really digging how this turned out. (More effort went into this than it should have. More screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/7A0BmW8 ) 28 Share this post Link to post

Gokuma Posted July 28, 2020 @BluePineapple72 You just gave the StarTan haters an existential crisis! They cannot deny the beauty of it. This surprising only has just two instances of StarTan3 (which are half gray), aside from all the StarBrown, StarRed, StarGreen, and StarGray. 5 Share this post Link to post

NiGHTMARE Posted July 28, 2020 I've recently started scouring my hard drive for old unfinished levels and projects, mainly for use in Doom -1. Just now I came across the old unfinished RTC-3057 hub 2, and thought I would share some shots! The first four are from levels that were being worked on by myself (the first is from an admin area, and the other 3 from a maintenance area), while the rest are all from levels by Shaviro. It's a real shame this project was abandoned, but then again we did get Doom 3: Phobos instead :) 17 Share this post Link to post

NiGHTMARE Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) 29 minutes ago, Gez said: So it was not entirely set on a spaceship? IIRC hub 2 was going to be a planet or moon that the escape pod from the end of hub 1 has crashed landed on. Later hubs were going to see a return to both Earth (with some re-imagined levels from Doom 2, including Gotcha!) and Deimos (which has become even more corrupted, and I believe was supposed to have now collided with the surface of Hell - again this would have seen some re-imagined levels, from Doom E2). I was working on a couple of the Deimos maps and also have some of the earth maps - I think the latter were being worked on by Mike Watson, the author of the Arctica series and MassMouth, and if so would have been his last ever Doom maps. I'll post pics of these at some point, too. Some elements from the Deimos maps will at least see the light of day, as I've incorporated them into my own Doom 1 remastering project. 3 Share this post Link to post
