Nat20’s map screenshots always remind me of those random high-quality screenshots of upcoming wads you’d find among a bunch of generic-looking screeners on those old GeoCities sites from the late 90’s. Something about that starry sky + good detail that isn’t overdone + brick wood and metal just does it for me!

Thanks Doomkid! I do prefer an old school style. I wish I could remember those GeoCities web sites (I'm sure I visited a ton). Modern mapping is too clean, too defined... too many perfect curves and symmetry. It's like the original Star Wars vrs the prequels. Give me that grit.

I have wanted to do an homage to Bloodloss (an old Zdoom wad I made where blood pools heal you) in Atomic Island.  Being Boom format I needed to find a new way for the blood pools to heal.  I decided to go with shallow pits with line action 242 to create a fake blood surface, then fill the pit with stimpacks and change the pickup string to just say 'Health Restored'.  Very simple and works like a charm...now to build the rest of the map around this...
