Scary enemies in nostalgic games that made you quit the game

I don't think I ever played a game that scared me to a point where I couldn't carry on, but these are two of those moments that genuinely scared the crap out of me, so unexpected they caught me off gaurd first time I went through it:

Those Ghost Face looking things in the Haunted Mansion game, I remember slightly closing my eyes as a kid when her cutscene played. Even her death animation freaked me out

 

And those scythe-wielding dudes.

The cherubs in Doom3 horrified me to the point where I stopped playing shortly after the first encounter, and I was too disturbed to play the game for a few days.

Not sure if it's technically an enemy but I was done with Silent Hill 4 once I came across this huge face on the wall.

Those damned tunnel monsters from Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland on the PC scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.

The gladiator from Quake 2

It was years ago... I remember being really scared every time I heard its alert sound (it sounded like "aitah!!!" or something like that lol), since I knew he would destroy me very quickly with its Railgun... good times XD
