VGA Posted February 28, 2020 Install VirtualMIDISynth and use a soundfont with it. For starters use the scc1t2.sf2 soundfont which is the simplest and smallest. Set GZDoom and other ports to "Native MIDI" or "System" or however they call using the system MIDI. 1 Share this post Link to post

VGA Posted February 29, 2020 A few years ago I had managed to get Doom 95 working on Windows 8, it was pretty janky but the music was VirtualMIDISynth with that soundfont :D It is installed as the default MIDI device so it also works with players like VLC! 0 Share this post Link to post
taufan99 Posted February 29, 2020 There's also a soundfont based on the infamous Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. If you somewhat like the sound of MIDIs based on "your default Windows XP soundfont". (Soundfont link in video description.) 0 Share this post Link to post
