Played the first 11 maps. Cool stuff! Really nailed the Scythe vibe, you guys are amazing and I'm really glad this is a thing!

After killing all Mancubi on Dragonfly's map, nothing happened. The voodoo doll probably broke.

We did it! Dark Scythe has made it to /idgames! Thanks once again to everyone that contributed. Included in the official release are a couple of bug fixes and one last bonus map that I intended to make, but couldn't complete before the April 1st deadline.

I am a bit confused about this project's nature. The description says it is supposed to be an April Fool's joke, but except for the very first map's ending, this really feels like a Scythe-style mapset with some very well-designed maps so far.

 

Also, is the first map (minus the final arena) an original creation?

Yeah I made it after looking at some of Alm's stuff and trying to emulate his style a bit. I balanced the mapset so that as you dig deeper into the project, the joke becomes clearer and clearer until it's basically unbearable.
