Is it normal for the floor to look weird when looking down in GZDoom?

Recommended Posts

I recently switched from using Zandronum to using GZDoom because GZ can run both Project Brutality AND Sigil, but I notice the floor seems to be closer when I look at it compared to looking straight ahead? I'm not sure what it is exactly, or if that's just how floors look in GZ.

Are you running in OpenGL? Software mode can't handle "true freelook" so there is extreme distortion when you look up or down. Make sure OGL is enaled and see if that fixes it. (With the proper settings, Zand and GZDoom can look identical)

I believe so, but I recently upgraded to GZDoom 4.3.3 and switched from OpenGL to Vulkan. And that pretty much got rid of the problem, though I kinda had to mix and match visual settings so it looked the way I wanted.
