Specific features, not a specific wad

Anyone know of any wads that

A. Add the assault rifle, and/or

B. Add the extra rotation sprites John Romero released?

This could maybe go in the looking for a specific wad thread, but I'm looking for features, not any wad in particular.

Help an anal retentive out?

Try Smooth Doom, or the Doom sprite fixing project. Both add the missing rotations, and Smooth Doom has an option to enable the rifle.

Does that add the rifle as a separate weapon, or replace the pistol?

@Error-404 It's added as a random drop from the Zombieman, so it's separate from the pistol.
