Doom Builder 2 Can't Open Doors From Both Sides

So I just started to learn doom modding but I have a small but annoying problem, while making doors I was able to open them from one side but the other side didn't work. Both sides have action 1 selected.

I assume that both sides of the door have the special attached.

Then the sidedefs of both linedefs have to point out from the door sector

for the trigger to work.

The real annoying problem (*wink*) ;) is that you are using outdated Doom Builder 2. Use Doom Builder X!

How can I do that? I'm very new to the modding scene, I'm just starting to learn Doom Builder 2. I don't know a lot about modding currently, all I know is the first five tutorials in the Doom Builder official beginner tutorials.

Okay, i was gonna answer the question but WHAT IN THE GOD DAMN IS DOOM BUILDER X!?

how many Building programs are there!?

Select the linedef and then press F to flip the sides of the line, making sure the small indicator in the middle is facing outside of the sector, just like in the image Kappes Buur posted.

Doom Builder X is essentially an improved and friendly version of the old Doom Builder 2.

Lets hear a good reason then as to why the OP should remain using DB2 when DBX is actually maintained and is actually based off DB2 to begin with?

The Ultimate Doom Builder is by far the most complete editor but can be a little intimidating to new mappers. Doom Builder X on the other hand is a simplified version making it way more user friendly and more accessible to new mappers that want to learn the basics.
