Pre-2010's Video game OST thread

This a thread for music from games that are pre-2010's. 

I personally love 90's SNES and PC-Engine games and I also love 2000's Wii and PS2 games. (Not saying modern games are bad, if anything they are a big improvement)

 

So here it is, the pre-2010's game OST thread, I was inspired to make this via threads from other forums. (I love music threads)

I'll start with mine:

Speedy Blupi/Speedy Eggbert - Track 003 (No idea why there's 3 0's since there's only 10 songs in the whole game ._.)

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 are among my favourites. Other than that, I usually listen to Sonic music, or the music from the C&C games. Many other games with good music on my music folder

 

These days games insist on using an orchestra to do everything, and it just sounds *generic orchestral noise* to me, its never memorable

Saw GTA up to 3.......and you leave behind Vice City and San Andreas? Those two have the best music compilation imo (I'm biased more to Vice City though).

Recently, I'm playing Okami with a PS2 emulator and....the music man....I completely forgot how really beautiful the whole music is. More honorable mentions are Dragon Quest 8 (the symphonic version), Shadow Man, Medievil 2, both original Resident Evil 2 and 3, Castlevania: SOTN and later with both LoI and CoD, R-Type Delta, Batman (NES), Power Blade (NES too), Unreal, UT'99 and many others

Also, if talking for the many iterations of Doom, Aubrey Hodges's music used for PSX and Doom 64 are my favorites.

SA&VC themes are no questions godsend. considering the GTAs i posted had identical themes, i didn't post the rest

Just listen to the whole soundtrack but Monochrome is a higlight. Also please play Hotel Dusk.

 

 

 

Manhunt is, in my opinion, a masterpiece of sound design! Very few games make me feel so tense by sound alone, and of course, the soundtrack contributes.
