If you can manipulate data from beyond the grave, would you still make Doom wads?

  1. 1. Would you make wads after this life?

    • I'd crank them out, much to the dismay of peers or a higher power telling me to remain more mysterious and elusive.

I think that even if I could, I wouldn't have enough brain power to actually even make it.

Eh, I don't think such a technology is feasible, unless you pull off something like fraggle's Automatic SLIGE megawad, in which case some people might be able to consider cheap, given SLIGE's (and OBLIGE's) infamy (no offense to Daddy Fraggle).
Either way, this concept can be good for a creepypasta material. Yeah yeah, I know it's a yesteryear stuff, but hey, the fandom still has some appreciators, ironic or otherwise.

I want to play a wad that was made by a dead guy. I know a lot of those exist, but I mean one where the person was actually dead before they made it. That’d rule!

We could ask this person; they might still be officially dead!

I answered "No" - I think I've already spent/wasted a lot of time on Doom and I expect to waste/invest a lot more yet... So I'll need some way to finally break away from it.

I dunno about making them, because mapping doesn't interest me a whole lot, but I'll definitely be grinding my way through them.

I've been wondering - let's say that Hell's technical standards may have worked in older times, but as population increases, do demons even have the capacity to operate under "usual" conditions at this point? Even if we take into account that either new demons could be produced or souls get recycled back to Earth, their numbers would still be significantly lower than literal billions of humans. I theorize that people probably already overthrew them or they gave up and just mingle around. Did people rebuild Hell in Earth's image (South American-style favelas are more than likely, given Hell's population) and, given that there's no access to our Internet, made their own? Is there an /idgames? There's probably a number of mappers/modders down there.

Let's assume that Hell DOES have the capacity to normally operate despite the human numbers and there IS an infinite amount of demons, and ask a different question - how many people there are currently blamming or stabbing demons eternally? How many of them are actually cosplaying Doomguy in the process, remembering the fun times clearing wads in their former lives?

Find out next week in Ancient Aliens, only on /idgames History Channel.

Does is still count is we're already dead and merely a digital facsimile on some alien mmorpg server farm?

If brain uploading becomes a thing around 2070 and its affordable enough for people who aren't rich, we could have wads made by copypasted minds in robot bodies.
