haruko haruhara Posted June 2, 2020 I just want to know if anyone likes the touhou games because I love the music I love the challenge an even if I die for real even with 5 lives I have played a little bit of the touhou games an an I have played up to touhou 15 but I can't get the touhou 9 to work cuz it has a error on my PC probably because windows 7 is breaking slowly but I just love touhou the characters an so on I could listen to the music all day I love the mmd's plus before you say I'm 17 not 30 but I want to know do you like touhou if you do say something about it I mean by leave your thoughts on the topic 0 Share this post Link to post
Doominator2 Posted June 2, 2020 I got into Touhou last month starting with Touhou 6 and recently just 1cc'ed it. It's surprisingly simple yet also challenging, and I was surprised with how good the music is. Honestly, there's something really special about replaying the game over and over again to try and 1cc it, progressively improving and memorizing the bullet patterns over time until eventually beating it without continuing. I've never really got involved with the fandom, I'm more interested in discovering the songs and characters for my self by playing through the games. 1 Share this post Link to post
Gaia74 Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) The games of touhou are very good and really enjoyable, but there are only 2 things in which it is much better than many games, and it's the gameplay and the music The theme, history (Not the characters, the characters are very good), graphics or other things leave it a little behind, but it does not mean that it is a bad game, in fact, it is a very good one that I even recommend, but do not expect something more than a bullet hell game :P 1 Share this post Link to post

I'm pretty terrible at bullet hell and I don't have much interest in getting into the genre, even if it is fun to watch. With that said, I have been trying to get into Touhou for a good while, but I have absolutely no clue where to start! As it stands I'm mostly acquainted with some fun lil dumb memes and in-jokes regarding the series, the more popular songs, and fanart. I love the fanart, it all looks very cute and colorful, but I feel like they would be even better if I had proper context. The amount of fan content, and lore, and everything is just staggering for someone who's just starting. 1 Share this post Link to post
