Teleport Sprite problem

Question

Hey guys!

I m trying to change the teleport sprite colour into a red one, so basically i used gimp to modify each of the 10 files and extraced them both as png and bmp. Then i imported them via slade on my wad, first as png, then as bmp, then i finally converted them into doom format, but in all three cases there were no changes at all (teleport is still green). I kept the same names of course, which are:

 

TFOGA0

TFOGB0

etc

 

Can somebody help me? what am i doing wrong? Thanks

Did you make sure to put it between the SS_start and SS_End markers? if not, make sure to place them in such a way that your sprites are between the markers, otherwise the engine will not identify your sprites,  it should look like this at the end:

Ok now i did that ( i dindt before cause i m dumb), but now i've got another issue:

it works, i mean, at least now it is partially invisible.

When a monster teleports i can see a small red sprite on the floor, but nothing else, so basically something is recognized but it doesn't work properly... any ideas?

You need to fix the offsets. Check the original sprite offsets and make yours identical.

Yeah!!!!

Now i can finally start with a lot of horrible ideas i have in mind! Thank you so much m8!
