MassiveEdgelord Posted August 10, 2020 Ever since the youtuber/speedrunner Stryder7x made his youtube channel where he detailed ways to crash Paper Mario for the N64, I've been obsessed with the idea of glitches that crash video games. I keep trying to google ways to crash different games all the time. Does anyone know of ways to crash DOOM games with glitches? 0 Share this post Link to post
MFG38 Posted August 10, 2020 The wiki has a pretty comprehensive list of bugs in the vanilla engine, including ones that can cause the game to crash. Just sort it by the "Fatal?" column and look for any Y's. 4 Share this post Link to post

MassiveEdgelord Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) EDIT: This didn't work for me personally. It's probably cuz I was using Zandorum. EDIT 2: It doesn't work in DOSBox either. What am I doing wrong? Edited August 10, 2020 by MassiveEdgelord 0 Share this post Link to post
-TDRR- Posted August 10, 2020 It's probably exclusive to version 1.1 of doom.exe. 0 Share this post Link to post
MassiveEdgelord Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) Ok do I don't know if this is a new discovery but when I restarted DOSBox DOOM to try doing the glitch again the game randomly froze on the title screen and the audio was "stuck" on a certain part of the main menu theme (that part of the song was basically "looping" in a sense). I did this a second time and the audio was still stuck on that same part but it stopped eventually. Here's another example: At the 0:42 the audio repeats forever which is basically what is happening to DOSDoom 0 Share this post Link to post
