lognifii Posted August 12, 2020 The textures RSKY1, RSKY2 and RSKY3 aren't showing up in doom builder for me. I'm not sure whether it's doom builder messing up or just a case of renaming something in the doom2.wad file. Any help with this problem would be appreciated 0 Share this post Link to post
DynamiteKaitorn Posted August 12, 2020 RSKY1, 2 and 3 aren't textures. They're skyboxes. RSKY1 is used for maps 01 - 11 RSKY2 is for 12 - 20 And RSKY3 is 21-30 (plus both secret levels) All of these can be seen in their respective maps by using an FSKY1 flat. 0 Share this post Link to post

They count as Skyboxes, And also Textures. DoomWiki says that "The sky in Doom engine games is a wall texture cylindrically projected and displayed in place of a flat." RSKY1, RSKY2, RSKY3 are patch names. As such, they will not appear with those names in a map editor. SKY1, SKY2, and SKY3 are texture names, using the corresponding patches.
