How do you throw the siphon grenade on the ps4?

In doom 2016, I I tried to use this siphon grenade that I picked up but I can’t figure it out. Dose anyone know how? Whenever I search up how to throw on th eps4 it keeps showing doom eternal. It pisses me off.

Press left/right on the D-Pad to change equipment type and then press L1 to use the current grenade (if you're using the default controller layout). You can view the layout in the options menu.
