Jacek Nowak (jacnowak) Posted August 27, 2020 I remember using a tool some time ago that would output information regarding the "balance" of the map. It would sum hitpoints of all monsters on one side and the amount of damage that all ammo in the map give on average on the other side. So you could see for example that on HMP you have ammo sufficient to take down 250% of opposition and on UV it's 175% etc. I think it was a command-line tool. I cannot find it anywhere now. Anyone remembers this? Or something similar? (note I'm not talking about raw thing counts, like 5 imps, 4 boxes of rockets, etc.) 0 Share this post Link to post
Stabbey Posted August 27, 2020 Even if one exists, it doesn't tell you what the map actually plays like. If the exit room has 50 boxes of rockets in it but no monsters left, that would show up on the balance, but not in gameplay. The only way to actually tell is to put ammo and weapons in and test how it feels. 0 Share this post Link to post
