Not trying to rock your shit, mind you, but getting Spanish/Español right is probably a pretty big thing. It'd be like asking English speakers "Who speaks American here?"

Anyways, there a lot of spanish users here, some old, some newer. But it's hard to know as we expected to speak English.

Pero la verdad no me molesta hablar ingles, intento hablarlo sin traductor para ir mejorando poco a poco con lo que leo y escribo aca, el siguiente paso seria hacer los reviews.

Sorry i don't speak hispanic, however i do speak spanish.

 

La verdad es que no me siento solo ni nada porque ultimamente la mayoria de páginas que visito y una buena parte del contenido que veo estan en ingles en su mayoria, me he acostumbrado bastante al idioma, aunque no lo domino al 100%.

Hopefully, all of it will come back to me soon. I used to know a lot, but since summer started, I have forgotten more and more spanish everyday. I had an A+ every marking period in Spanish, so I wasn't bad at it at the time. 

 

Lo siento por usar ingles (I tried using the Spanish I knew for this sentence, and ended up getting sorry for wearing my groin so yeah, definitely going to need to study)

No me incomoda el ingles, intento consumir todo el contenido que veo en ingles porque sinceramente el ingles es casi universal y quiero aprenderlo por ello, también porque incluso en los lugares donde estudio, enseñan ingles, aun asi, no me veo fatigado por el ingles.

Ah, voy a considerar unirme... aunque solo tengo Doom 1 y 2, al menos por ahora :v (y bueno Final Doom también). 

 

But yah I virtually read everything in English too, and if it weren't for games I mean my English proficiency would be a lot worse lol.

Well, as different as American is from Actual English English, maybe there is a distinction to be made.. calling the language "hispanic" probably makes no sense I will say, but surely the dialect is as different from Spain to Puerto Rico as it is going from England to the Deep South in the USA. On paper, yes it's the same language, but when spoken/heard... Barely!

If not, I wouldn’t be opposed to people having relevant topics in their native / the other UN official languages :-)

Technically Hispania hasn't existed since the fall of the Roman Empire, some 1500 years ago (or the fall of the Visigoth kings, since they also called it hispania, which I didn't know) else I'd be hispanic as well and I'm not, I'm Portuguese :P

 

Also, they spoke Latin, not Spanish, and before that they spoke a ton of dialects and lost languages, I think there wasn't a "hispanic" language at all, according to wikipedia there were several "Paleo-hispanic languages", of which the closest is Basque.

 

But everyone understood that the OP meant Spanish (or Castilian, some people don't enjoy the name Spanish since Catalan, Aragonese and Basque (and more) are also spanish languages).

There's certainly a latin translator in google. Looks like that sentence is written backwards. I studied it at shool but i can't remember anything.

"Italica, Hispanica linguis Latina venire" sounds better I think. The way you wrote it sounds like Latin comes from Spanish which isn't really true..

I know bits and pieces of latin, but never had any formal training in it (nor would I ever attempt to, that thing scares me)

Hablo Español y sinceramente es el idioma en el qué mejor me expreso y puedo comunicarme con la gente mediante historias y creaciones.

No obstante, debido a mi pequeño pasatiempo con mi Mod más actual y como gran parte del foro es de habla inglesa (Por supuesto), me comunico en inglés la mayoría del tiempo, últimamente hablando en español tan solo en un par de lugares (Servidores en Discord) más que nada.

 

Ah, y vengo de Marte por sí se lo preguntan.

No hispano, pero sí español. Considerando que la mayoría de las personas de la comunidad vienen de distintos países, y el ingles es el idioma con el que la mayoría nos entendemos (aunque sea como segunda lengua para muchos), no me incomoda en lo absoluto usar el ingles por aquí, aunque siempre es bueno ver que hay una parte activa de la comunidad que habla español por aquí
