50 Worst Video Game Voice Acting Lines

So I love voice acting.... and as you know, certain earlier video games (specifically ones that get dubbed lol) had.... interesting.... voice acting haha. There's a compilation someone made called "50 Worst Video Game Voice Acting Lines" and I just love this video to bits. I always watch it when I want a good laugh. The lines are either cheesy, weird, cringy, or the lines themselves are fine, but it's the delivery or voice that makes them "bad". Honestly, I don't find these to be terrible voice acting.... more like "so bad it's good" quality haha (bad voice acting to me falls flat and is so boring, it makes you rage not laugh hahaha--at least a lot of these, they're trying to inflect). I wanna try some of these games now just for the comedically bad voice acting alone!

To be honest, I love voice acting. I remember trying out for that Legend of Xanadu fandub project (sadly, didn't get picked). Would be a job I'd be happy to do for the rest of my life, especially since I got told at some previous call center jobs I got a nice radio-like voice.

 

So here's something dumb I recorded for the BeyondUnreal forums as a joke back in... god, 2005 or so?

You really do got a pretty good voice! You should definitely get into voice work! It's actually not hard to find passion projects that need voice acting haha and I always have some kinda game project that needs voice acting lol

 

Also the fact your audio was about UT made it better.... I freakin' LOVE the UT games.

I'm a diehard Unreal Tournament guy. I've worked on successful mods (CTF4 was a whole bunch of my mapping conversion work, and I was part of the Unreal Tournament Revolution/UT2341 mod that was porting UT99 forward into UT2004). I was a routine participant on BeyondUnreal's FragBU matches every single weekend for a good year and a half, two years.

 

As for projects, if you think I'm good enough, sure, I'll take you up on those offers. I'm quite versed with RPG Maker, actually. (My "other" job involves taking Japanese RPG Maker games and turning them into English ones, after all.)
