CBM Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) modding and stiching together extra secret areas in e1m3 from my favorite areas that has been featured in previously scrapped freedoom maps... e1m3 will be all about secrets current count, 20 unique secret areas, trying to reach 100 secret areas, the reamining 80 will be featured in its own whole secret section of e1m3 EDIT ... this new area has 2 secrets so far, so we are now at 22 secrets... EDIT 2 ... now it has 4 so we are at 24 secrets... working on adding even more unique secrets edit 3 HALF WAY THERE ... 50... secrets instead of adding bonus levels on top of the already insane 100 levels I need to GZ'fy, I decided to just take all my favorite areas from levels that was scrapped in older freedoom version and then add them as secret areas to e1m3... e1m3 is already 6 times larger than before and 5/6 of it is dedicated for secrets and only accessible from other secrets Edited July 24, 2021 by CBM 2 Share this post Link to post

Thanks :-D I want to make sure that I am a hundred percent happy with all the levels before releasing the final versions... There will be a phase 1 (doom 1), phase 2 (doom 2) and a deathmatch release, just like we have with vanilla freedoom. 1 Share this post Link to post

Freedom 45 was a Bear project in trailerpark boys and this 3d model was made today in 2021 for freedoom hence the name Also the model is my own very small tribute to a great actor, John Dunsworth... Thanks :-) I have been dreaming of a GZDoom version of FreeDoom since forever ..... And then a year ago I decided that I needed to do something about it. I have some textures I made for a game I created about 20 years ago that I am adding to FreeDoom. All the textures for the models I just made are modified versions of my old textures. CBM Posted July 27, 2021 (edited) introducing... the mchammer bot he rolls up to the player and then uses his hammering legs to hit the player (pinky/worm replacement, still needs animations) bounce and roll monster also needs animations and will shoot projectiles from its eye (imp/snake replacement) .... I might go with a passive version of my gel cubes as a barrel replacement maybe a cube like this: ... be(e-)hold(er) ... the bee-holder ... my pain elemental replacement... just needs a smaller monster to shoot with (needs animations) ... the combat slug ??? CBM Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) okay so I decided the cyberdemon replacement was to wide, so he became a worker ant instead, with a buzzsaw... so he can replace the pinky.. what a cute little ant robot... OH MY GOD... he has a buzzsaw here are the 2 gzfreedoom 3d monsters I am 100% happy with so far... LOST SOUL - hover ant??? ---> no, I decided to use the "EYE SAW" still need to make atleast 5 more designs --- possible alternative to the hover ant, unless its too close to the eyebot in fallout: I am calling it the Probe Droid for now... with wheels? with more stuff... CBM Posted July 30, 2021 (edited) So I worked more on the robo head and now he is a drone and just might get to be my caco demon replacement afterall (EDIT: replaced with a version with better texture adjustment) and then these guys.. EDIT did this walker robot as well.. hoping this Astro Runner robot can help me with one or more of the missing monster slots... and version with saw (unless he should just use the coil itself as a club? hmm..) now the caco... alternative saw mounting... EDIT... updated roster monsters in freedoom episode 1 & doom 1: IMP - "astro runner" CACO-DEMON - "robohead drone" CYBER-DEMON - ??? BARON - ??? MASTERMIND - "cyberspider sentry" ZOMBIE - ??? SHOTGUNNER - ??? PINKY - "worker ant with spikes" SPECTRE - "worker ant without spikes and slightly fuzzy" LOST SOUL - "EYE SAW" --- pit beetle??? rollerdroid ??? yearh... rollerdroid... perhaps if I gave him a little gun then he could be the zombieman replacement... they may also all need some speakers... for that "realistic sound effect" (ie. then I won't need to change sounds) ps: cyberslug will not make the cut ... we also need 3d keys now we have some...
