Any Free Midi Making Software?

I was thinking about making some music for my Doom WAD but I can't afford anything professional. I was wondering if there were any free programs I could use to make some songs using the SC-55 soundfont?

Sekaiju is the program most people use here to make midis.
Its kinda tricky to start using it, but when you know how to, its really good.
