Does Mayonnaise belong on pizza?

I've heard the same thing being said of American beers in general.

Yes American beer is fairly terrible - at least the big names everyone is familiar with. I remember a Monty Python sketch where Eric Idle was playing an Australian and said American beer was like making love in a canoe - fucking close to water. Funnily enough, I would say the same of Australian beer. Some New Zealand beers are halfway decent, but the Europeans do it best. I do not drink anymore (never really did much) but when I did my first choice was always something from Germany, Denmark, somewhere like that.

Back to the question of the thread... how can I put this delicately... Dear Jesus no! What kind of an unholy monster would do such a thing to a defenseless pizza?

Ya know, seeing this again reminded me of something. I have an uncle who likes Hawaiian pizza, and then he puts maple syrup on it. The whole point of the pineapple is to give it a slightly sweet taste to contrast with the acidity of the tomato sauce and the saltiness of the Canadian bacon. There is no reason in Heaven or Hell that you should need to put maple syrup on it. That... just confused me the first time I saw it.

That sounds actually tasty. I might very well try it... next time I'm high as a kite.

Sounds like too much sweet to me. Although I don't really have a sweet tooth, I don't generally like syrup, when I have pancakes or waffles it's usually just butter, and a little bit of syrup. With blueberries in the batter they usually turn out sweet enough.
