Anth64 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) I am playing through ultimate doom on PrBoom+ version 2.5.1.7, and whenever I clear E2M1, the game puts me on E1M2. I do not know if this is a bug or not, but how do I fix this? Any help is appreciated. Grazie, Anth64 EDIT: The issue also happens with E3M1 and E4M1. plums Posted October 14, 2020 Doesn't happen for me using the latest git version. Which PrB+ build are you using? The official 2.5.1.7 release is quite old, there are semi-regular updates in the thread. Are you selecting Ultimate Doom through the launcher? Do you have any autoloaded stuff? 0 Share this post Link to post
Anth64 Posted October 14, 2020 I am using this version of prboom plus: https://github.com/coelckers/prboom-plus/releases/tag/v2.5.1.7um I am just launching it from the command line, like so: ./prboom-plus -iwad DOOM.WAD I do not believe I have anything auto loaded. Is there a version of prboom-plus that is more recent than the one I am using that fixes this? 0 Share this post Link to post
plums Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) Are you getting it through git? That should be the latest version... not really sure what's happening. Maybe post your console output? Do ./prboom-plus -iwad DOOM.wad &> prb.txt and post that file. Play through E2M1 to be sure... (It'll have your login name on it, strip it out if you're worried about privacy.) 0 Share this post Link to post

seed Posted October 14, 2020 The original release of 2.5.1.7 had quite a few non-UMAPINFO glitches which have been addressed since. To avoid them, use one of my builds or Never_Again's that we distribute in its topic periodically (Windows only), or compile it from source if you know how. 0 Share this post Link to post
Anth64 Posted October 14, 2020 I think I found a google drive link to your build, but is there a way that I can find the source so I can build it on linux as well? The issue is fixed for now at least on my windows machine. Thanks for all that helped! Grazie -Anth64 0 Share this post Link to post

Pick a directory you want to store the PrB+ source files, then run these commands. (I'm assuming you have git and all packages needed to build it.) If you have glibc older than 2.32 (check with ldd --version) you can omit the parameter -DHAVE_DECL_SYS_SIGLIST=0, it's a workaround for a bug. git clone https://github.com/coelckers/prboom-plus.git cd prboom-plus/prboom2 mkdir build cd build cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DHAVE_DECL_SYS_SIGLIST=0 make 0 Share this post Link to post
