VileSlay Posted December 9, 2002 erm...uhmm...well in a way it's pretty cool, but I wouldn't waste my time building something like that. I haven't built a diorama since junior high school. 0 Share this post Link to post

DOOM Anomaly Posted December 10, 2002 dsm said:*Shrugs* Btw DOOM Anomaly, what does "Dee-Lee" mean? I know what "dun dun dunnnnnnnn" means but "Dee-Lee"? Yeah, it says in teh thread that Grazza provided. Geeze, for a mod, you sure dont lurk much ;P Penguin said in the thread Grazza just showed: it originated from the Simpsons "it's an auto-dressing deelee", "it's an electronic organizer deelee"actully, I didnt get it from there, never seen that episode actually. and besides I say Dee-Lee, not Dealie. Theres a big difference. 0 Share this post Link to post
EVIL Posted December 10, 2002 that monitor mod is quite cool.. if your time is so worthless that you are going 2 spend time on deassembling a monitor risking being shocked by that big thing inside etc.. bleh.. but i like the result.. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sephiroth Posted December 11, 2002 i have taken stuff like that apart for years. i have NEVER been shocked before. though i was carful to check i knew about the charges those electrolitic capacitors can hold. anyway i have a dead monitor and shit loads of free time, but am i gonna do it. most likly not cause i have become a lazy american 0 Share this post Link to post
FirebrandX Posted December 11, 2002 I once worked as an A/V home theater specialist (which led to my old job as a movie theater manager), and I've been shocked a few times. The worst being a 19 inch monitor I had to adjust internal settings for while the screen was active. My pinky slipped and touched a +1000 v hot-board on the yoke and it blew my hand away from the set. The tip of my pinky was burned, but it healed up fine. Thankfully, most sets now use a secret remote code for adjusting internal settings. I use it all the time on my Sony TV. I even used it to set the TV borders to perfectly match my PS2's output display. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gokuma Posted December 11, 2002 Only use one hand and know where the other is (insert joke here) and wear shoes. 0 Share this post Link to post
