Wow, wow, Calmly, I misjudged this Wad at first, I am still testing it, and I really took it back for calling it simply a Slaughter wad, in a moment I will send my comment / Post about my opinion about this wad in full.

Temple Breakthrough 2

A really simple map, I would say too much, but despite that, I saw it really good, I will not talk much about the textures, since you can see how it really is in the image, what I will say is about the difficulty, and that is, In this map, we only have the Hitscanners as enemies, and the Pinkys, therefore, there are not many in reality, in addition there is a way to cover the attacks of these enemies in a simple wall, and to finish the map, simply We must shoot John Romero in the head.

Again a simple map, without much texture like the first, and the difficulty in this case, has been a little increased but without ceasing to be simple, in this part, we have again Hitscanners, and Pinkys, but now Imps have been added to combat, this would possibly make things complicated than before, wouldn't it? Well, not really that much, just grab the rocket launcher that you have on one side and kill everything that moves on that map.

This map is different from the others, although the structure is still as simple as the previous ones, no texture stands out at all, although the architecture at least is much better than the previous maps, this time, it is a kind of site in a huge open field, and multiple electrical towers that serve as obstacles, very interesting indeed, although it is still very common. Now with the difficulty, here we only face Imps, 2 Chaingunners (which by the way, one is invisible for some reason, so be very careful), and 1 Cyberdemon, it would be a complicated battle, although it is not a big deal, although if You are low on health, this map can cause some annoyance because there are no medicine cabinets anywhere, as in the previous maps, so, do not be surprised if you miss many times or are forced to restart everything from the beginning due to this inconvenience.

Well, first of all, now the structure goes in a different way, first in open places, and again we will go to closed places, although these rooms are not so small, but they still have simple textures so, let's move on to the difficulty, and this map really makes things a bit more complicated, not in terms of ammo, rather, in terms of health, as again there are no medikits anywhere, which is already bad news for the low vitality marine and energy, at least at this level there are not many Hitscanners they are like about 6 in total, the rest only constitutes strong enemies, and to empower things, we have the 2 bosses of Doom 1 waiting in the last room to kill us, Unfortunately, you cannot collect the BFG that is in the middle if you go with very low health, you will have to kill them all with the weapons obtained, in this case, I recommend using only Super Shotgun or the Cell weapon for it, already after having the BFG, we can get out of the map in the strangest way.

Now we return to the open areas, and this time we do have a better visualization of the buildings in this place, but only from the outside, since inside it is more of the same, and speaking of it, now it turns out that in this map things get quite complicated, and, apart from having strong enemies again, and also many imps, here we do have the great danger of Hitscanners that come in excess, in each room you will find some Hitscanners, which already It is very bad if your health is below 10%, here the only recommendation I could make is to use the Super Shotgun or Shotgun at the beginning, and in the rooms use only the BFG, because otherwise, you will die very quickly, you have already been warned.

Oh yeah Baby !, Map 06 finally solves all the problems that we have had since the first map, the elaborate structure in this map has nothing interesting, apart from being a huge square room, and with the difficulty, I could consider it as a mini-Slaughter for newbies, since it has all the enemies present in Doom 2, but in this case, it is not so difficult to defeat these monsters due to the large amounts of ammunition, soul spheres, mega spheres, and spheres of Invulnerability, so i guess this would be some kind of "i'm sorry" from the wad creator for not putting medikits on any of the previous maps... but anyway, it felt really good to feel powerful on that one map that, for sure, it will not be repeated, but at least I enjoyed what it had to last.

Now this map has turned out to be really entertaining for me, not only for the fact that I finally have maximum health and armor, but also, the ammunition left throughout the map makes things a little easier but much more entertaining than just looking like crazy where there is ammunition to kill enough enemies using only the Super Shotgun, which is not a bad idea, up to a point, but first, I will talk about the textures, and it is that in this map, finally see an improvement in the visual aspect, it is no longer simple and monotonous as seen in previous maps, here if a certain effort has been devoted to make the place different, although yes, the rooms are still huge, but see them with a little more detail it makes the size not very important, at least for me. And now yes, with the difficulty, and that is, in this map, the Super Shotgun is used a lot, to the point of thinking that this map was created to know how far the potential of the Super Shotgun could go with a large group of enemies and with 2 Mega Spheres in different rooms, because the truth is that I liked everything here, even having all the enemies of Doom 2, it's really great to kill them with only that weapon, hmm... well not really using the Super Shotgun, there is also the normal shotgun left by the Shotgunners but for the entire map, if it will be very necessary to use the other shotgun, although of course, avoiding wasting ammunition, perhaps the only thing I could complain about would only be with the last room that includes you 3 Archviles all at once, but hey, you have 2 Mega Spheres in different rooms, and a Berserk, so I guess it would be fair to just kill them with the Super Shotgun, anyway, I had a lot of fun.

This last map has been really good for me, in every aspect of the word, here you can see the fact of feeling a little more balanced than in the previous levels, although it does not have enough medikits available, it makes up for it with a lot of ammunition, and with enemies placed in the correct way so as not to make the fights feel very overwhelming and ugly, in terms of the textures of the site, unlike the previous map, this only has a few places with decoration and added different textures, the rest is a bit repetitive but it works well for some reason, and the structured rooms were also very interesting, despite there being a certain linearity here (like the rest of the previous maps of course), here at least you can see that it was not intended in its Totality go in one direction and already, at least here the locations are very well elaborated so as not to get lost easily. Now with the difficulty, here if it feels balanced, more or less but it works for me, so, despite having almost all the enemies of Doom 2, it is good to know that the enemies will not kill you easily with the help of the advantages that the map itself gives you (not counting the excess ammunition), such as giving you places to cover yourself from attacks, fighting behind a door, among other things, the classic of a good personalized map and without excess enemies or elements that hinder the exploration, everything really interesting, that by the way, the last door was very unexpected for me, the fact that it was the final boss of Doom 2 that, to top it all, cannot be killed, but fortunately , literally the output is only pressing a button, haha, very funny was this map without a doubt.

In conclusion, maybe I misjudged the wad at first, and I feel bad about it, but it is that I had been scared a little by the images that had been presented and well, the final result ended up being something else, at the beginning things really They got tough, but it is from Map 06 where everything returns to normal, in a way, it is a very good wad that... although it has a lot to fix with the aspect of the initial difficulty, such as adding even 1 medikit or 2 medikits from Map 01 to Map 05, although I don't really know if this was intentional (in case it's someone who likes "Pistol Start", I don't know), I can also say that you can see it true positive side to this, such as coming and taking out of the comfort zone that Marine who only prefers to be battling in areas with many Medikits and Stimpacks everywhere in case of minimum or maximum hits from weak and strong enemies, to show that even without medicine cabinets, you're a demon killer You have scars, blood splattering all over your body, and you still have some energy to use weapons, leaving aside the fear of dying from a single shot (I am an Arcade game player, so I am a little familiar with this class situations), and make the fighting more interesting, maximum that they are very short maps, but hey, this is just my opinion after all, I had a lot of fun with the Wad from start to finish, and I hope you can improve certain things a lot in your maps to make them really 100% enjoyable, mate.
