AtticTelephone Posted November 9, 2020 (edited) 1: Use DB2, it's old, but it's a lot easier to use since it has straightforward functions. 2: Use Doom and Doom II format only, when you feel like you understand all of the Doom format functions, try Boom, and maybe when you think you're good with all of those, use ZDoom. 3: Watch Chubzdoomer if you decide to use DB2. 4: Watch tutorials on GZDB if you plan to still use it. Edit: Don't use wall textures as flats and vice versa. 3 Share this post Link to post

Start watching Chubzdoomer and play classic Megawads. Edit: When you test, use Boom Strict on ZDoom. 1 Share this post Link to post
TheMagicMushroomMan Posted November 9, 2020 Agree with @AtticTelephone again, I see no reason to use ZDoom format for these maps, especially for a new mapper. I'll test these maps for you, but again, it takes more than poorly aligned Wolf3d textures to make a good joke map, and Imp Encounter jokes are pretty much the equivalent of beating a dead horse (a horse that's been dead for about 13 years, to be exact). 2 Share this post Link to post
