Heretic 2 - No Blood and Gore?

Alright so im playing an OG copy of Heretic 2 and realize theres no blood or gore. whats the setting to turn it on/off?

In the options menu, go to more options, and there should be an option to change the violence level. No blood, no gibbing, normal, and ultraviolent.

You need to patch the game to the latest version (Enhancement Pack v1.07) for that feature to become available.

how do I do that? Did the original game in 1998 come with the enhancement pack? I'm a purist.
