GLBoom+ running at incredibly low framerates

Everytime I open GLBoom+, the framerate is just 1 FPS, am i doing something wrong?
Laptop specs:

1336x768 60 HZ Screen

512 MB Integrated GPU

4 GB DDR3 RAM
1.4 GHZ Dual Core Intel processor

500 GB 5400 RPM HDD

Please help!

Indeed. we need more details.

  • Are you running in software render or GL (Because GLBoom actually has a software render)
  • Do you have the latest drivers?
  • What is the exact Intel processor?

Could be drivers or something, I recall having similar issues, and then one day after some months I opened it again and it ran perfectly.

1. Going by the .cfg file of GLBoom, it seems to be running in GL

2. I just updated the drivers a few seconds ago after typing this so i'll see how it goes

3. Intel Core i3-2367M

Ok so it's actually a problem when playing doom 2 on GLBoom instead of ultimate doom, so i'm not sure what to do

There is an issue with glfinish and old intel graphic cards, open glboom-plus.cfg file with notepad and change gl_finish to 0.

 

Change this:

gl_finish                     1

to this:

gl_finish                     0
