Typo in magazine directs pupils to adult Web site

LaPORTE, Ind. - A mixup between ".com" and ".org" pointed thousands of Indiana fourth-graders to an Internet site for adults instead of one dedicated to the state's history in fur trading.
Lara Nirenberg, an animal activist, discovered the misprint in a recent issue of Indiana Studies Weekly.
When Laura went to a Web site promoted in the issue as "a good place on the Internet to find information on the fur industry," she realized it was not about the fur industry at all.
Instead, it was an entryway to an adult chat site for people who call themselves "furries."
"I was just horrified to find out that a typo had been made," said Ed Rickers, president and chief executive officer of the Utah company that prints the issues.
Rickers said the newspaper should have directed students to www.fur.org.
Susie Cutler, a Chesterton mother, said she'd been alerted that issues had arrived in the Duneland school system, where her son is a student, but they were not handed out at his school.
"I hope, in the future, teachers will read anything they give out to students," Cutler told The Post-Tribute for Friday's paper.

Alright, so here I'm going to apply no experience, but just the same twisted logic I do with everything, on the furry fetish.

Growing up, most kids watch cartoons, and this continues even into adult life for some people. Most cartoon characters are anthromopic animals, something a kid can deal with. They communicate information like people, but they're generally cute and harmless looking. Because these fuzzy guys represent real people in comical situations, it's not uncommon to have the 'hot chick' character, ya know, a furry with big boobs. So the kids don't really get this at first, except that it's funny. After all, they're not yet controlled by raging hormones. This changes as the kid starts to grow older, but he's still watching cartoons. Eventually, the link between the furries and sex is connected. The person isn't really changed by this aside from his/her strange fetish, which isn't even as strange as some. Therefor, it's not really a bad thing, just one of those things that happens that no one can help, and there's no point in trying to help it either.

That's just my take.
Anyone else have any other ideas on it?

What Liam said is the least bit relevant and okay, I mean Seph just insults people on things they do or enjoy, which IMO is kinda hinkey-pinkey. We are humans and we are all made and created differently, we do not all feel the same way about certain things, and for Seph to insult people and say that they need to clean their head out with a shotgun ect. It just kinda shatters that aspect of us all being different. Just cause others enjoy different things and have different views is no reason to ridicule them and become angry with them and try to make them change their ways. I know that saying this is hypocritical due to society shunning many people for things they believe but, if they harm someone or something Then its appropriate to think about what they are doing and see if they can do other wise, not change totally, but make it so others aren’t harmed.

It all depends on how serious it is, if its something like what Use3D thinks and Seph thinks then its no reason to get mad at each other, we have our own likes and dislikes, let them be, please. However, if it is something more serious such as <insert name here> goes and kills 600 people cause he thinks it’s right and he enjoys it, that’s a bit over the limit, they may like it, but society cant allow it, for it harms other humans.


Otherwise, don’t get mad cause someone likes something you don’t and thinks differently, for you’re only a hypocrite in doing so.

ok i am glad many of u are mature. if u dont disagree with what i say that is ok. honestly i was kinda trying to be a little humorous about it. so i may not like it, so what i dont have to like everything on this planet. second that is not racism that is just not likeing something people do. like i said i dont like animal or child porn too. though i think animal and child porn should be outlawed, well child is, i never siad anything about furry or henti. i just said i thought it was disturbing. i never said anyone had to agree with me. what i got from a certian MOD was disrespectful. if he, or she, didnt like what i said they should have posted about it. what they did is more ignorant than anyhting i have ever or will ever say.

Just to clarify, for all of those who will read this and think "well she's praticing her own form of bigotry!": I'm not telling Sephiroth he needs to type in clear, concise sentences every time he posts. I don't even do that; it gets irritating and tiring.
