Off topic, but your post made me realize that those three levels are very easy to distinguish despite having the same style. They all use a different liquid to fill the lower regions: blood, water and nukage respectively.

save for post morten, that is the easier of the three, i think i was more focused on everything else happening around to notice that dark dome has water and hard target has nukage :P

This is the one. A couple of years ago I spent several weeks plagued by a memory of that underground cavern, with cyberdemon, and building with face (which, I incorrectly recalled, was green, not red) until I finally rediscovered which wad it was from. It thus seemed most appropriate to post here.
