pritch Posted December 27, 2002 I wondered, do you prefer to view programs or folders in a window or maximised? I hate windows, I always maximise everything. 0 Share this post Link to post
Disorder Posted December 27, 2002 I ALWAYS maximize my windows, except when I watch pornography. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted December 27, 2002 The only programs I view as windowed are Wintex (I don't think it can be maximized anyway), Winamp and midi players, and looking at the DOS prompt from Windows. Everything else I set to full screen. 0 Share this post Link to post

Disorder Posted December 27, 2002 By the way, I always open up an extra window when I watch porn. When you hear someone entering the room, you press alt-tab. There, problem solved :) 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted December 27, 2002 Depends on the video quality. Some low-res video I got off Kazaa will always be windowed. 0 Share this post Link to post

Amaster Posted December 27, 2002 Depends. Graphics programs like Photoshop, 3DMax, Flash, etc., I always maximize (I think most people do), but when it comes to normal stuff like folder windows or Internet Explorer I cant stand the maximized view. Feels like Im wasting space. Also, for some reason, going to someone's house and seeing that they have I.E. maximized enrages me to the point of near violence (especially if its in fullscreen mode). 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted December 28, 2002 I've got to do everything maximized. The only exception is when I'm dragging and dropping across My Computer windows, or looking through a few of my desktop folders. But for the most part, it's got to be maximized. 0 Share this post Link to post
DOOM Anomaly Posted December 28, 2002 Depends on what it is, usually maximized tho. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted December 28, 2002 It depends what I'm doing. Usually maximised, but not always. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fletcher` Posted December 28, 2002 The only things not maximized, are those that can't and folders. Everything else is maxed. 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted December 28, 2002 I run most everything maximized. I simply cannot run a game or program windowed, it's stifling :) 0 Share this post Link to post

myk Posted December 28, 2002 Depends... like, right now, the "search new threads" window is maximized behind this windowed one. If whatever it is fits well in a window, then I usually leave it thus, if not, I maximize. Naturally. 0 Share this post Link to post
GS-1719 Posted December 28, 2002 Unless its a web browser or a game, it's windowed. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted December 28, 2002 Umm, sextitto? Actually, I maximize most of the time, except for instant messaging windows. Whatever works. 0 Share this post Link to post
AirRaid Posted December 28, 2002 ROFLMAO sextitto. anyway, I can't stand maximising things, other than stuff like Graphics apps and Word. Those things I'm most likely going to be working on them and them alone, so it's ok. Besides, I have enough desktop space for several things to be in view at once :P 0 Share this post Link to post
Goat Posted December 28, 2002 Window: JNES, folders, notepad, aim, winamp, etc Fullscreen: IE, games, aol, similar progs 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted December 29, 2002 Multitasking whore. I prefer to keep objects in windows so I can do as much stuff as possible at once. I usually have mIRC, several instances of Phoenix, and one or two instances of Notepad (for clipboard purposes) on the screen. One reason, also, is that 19"/1600x1200 of text is awful to read, a 800x600 window is fine enough. Though, I do of course maximize when necessary, for example when I edit graphics. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lord FlatHead Posted December 29, 2002 Since the only time I really have the opportunity to watch porn is when I'm at home alone, I take the opportunity to always maximize my porn. 0 Share this post Link to post
