I wondered, do you prefer to view programs or folders in a window or maximised? I hate windows, I always maximise everything.

The only programs I view as windowed are Wintex (I don't think it can be maximized anyway), Winamp and midi players, and looking at the DOS prompt from Windows. Everything else I set to full screen.

By the way, I always open up an extra window when I watch porn.
When you hear someone entering the room, you press alt-tab. There, problem solved :)

Depends.
Graphics programs like Photoshop, 3DMax, Flash, etc., I always maximize (I think most people do), but when it comes to normal stuff like folder windows or Internet Explorer I cant stand the maximized view. Feels like Im wasting space. Also, for some reason, going to someone's house and seeing that they have I.E. maximized enrages me to the point of near violence (especially if its in fullscreen mode).

I've got to do everything maximized. The only exception is when I'm dragging and dropping across My Computer windows, or looking through a few of my desktop folders. But for the most part, it's got to be maximized.

The only things not maximized, are those that can't and folders. Everything else is maxed.

I run most everything maximized. I simply cannot run a game or program windowed, it's stifling :)

Depends... like, right now, the "search new threads" window is maximized behind this windowed one. If whatever it is fits well in a window, then I usually leave it thus, if not, I maximize. Naturally.

Umm, sextitto?

Actually, I maximize most of the time, except for instant messaging windows. Whatever works.

ROFLMAO sextitto.

anyway, I can't stand maximising things, other than stuff like Graphics apps and Word. Those things I'm most likely going to be working on them and them alone, so it's ok. Besides, I have enough desktop space for several things to be in view at once :P

Multitasking whore. I prefer to keep objects in windows so I can do as much stuff as possible at once. I usually have mIRC, several instances of Phoenix, and one or two instances of Notepad (for clipboard purposes) on the screen. One reason, also, is that 19"/1600x1200 of text is awful to read, a 800x600 window is fine enough. Though, I do of course maximize when necessary, for example when I edit graphics.
