For more vanilla stuff: DSDA-Doom (which is just a continuation of PrBoom+) for singleplayer, Odamex for multiplayer.

For mods: GZDoom for singleplayer, Zandronum for multiplayer.

 

There's way too many source ports with different goals to name one "favorite" IMO.

Just GZDoom, for it's options alone plus my vision and mouse aiming isn't unsavory, i like Doomsday as well, ello' there to you too.

Only ones I've really tried so far are GZDoom and Crispy Doom, and I only really use GZDoom :)

I really like DSDA-Doom/the UMAPINFO branch of PRBoom+, but I only use them for fairly "vanilla" play, taking care to set the right compatibility levels. When I want to use mods like Trailblazer, Babel, Russian Overkill, etc., I use GZDoom. So I usually play in DSDA-Doom.

dsda-doom is the comfiest source-port i've ever used.

next to that id say i enjoy crispy-doom, very comfy but i dont like being limited to just vanilla stuff.

lastly out of the multiplayer sourceports i'd say odamex is my favourite and feels the nicest to me.

I'm on GZDoom, haven't really had a big need to branch out but I would like to try some others.  I play with software rendering and strict compatibility so it wouldn't be a major jump to one of the more authentic source ports for me.

depends on recommendations stated for the wad. have 4 source ports:

• gzdoom (my main - since it has the widest compatibility for cosmetic mods)
• k8vavoom
• eternity
• prboom+

I like how Crispy Doom looks and feels the most, but for the most part I stick with pr-boom+ since most major releases are compatible with it.

I'm a GZDoom user myself. Mainly because I am too old and crusty to change. 

 

Though I did set up and try PRBoom+ recently.
