Murdoch Posted June 16, 2021 (edited) I googled this and searched the forum but no one else seems to have made the connection bar someone on Reddit. I watched a clip from Robocop 2 just before on YouTube, a movie I had not watched in years. It was the scene showing the failed attempts to replace Murphy. The second bot freaked me out when I was a kid who conned my Dad into taking me to see the movie when I was about 11 (lol). My mind was on other things while I was watching it but seeing the bot again, something was firing in my brain. It was reminding me of something else. I idly scrolled through the comments and someone said it - it looks a hell of a lot like the Revenants. Fun fact, Gregor Punchatz not only made the Revenant model but worked on Robocop 2 as well. I had seen the heavily edited for TV version of Robocop 1 and told Dad it wouldn't be that bad. He reluctantly agreed to take me. The TV version of the original did not feature anything like Skullbot here, a guy getting cut open with a scalpel, drug taking, lots of bloody shooting and a brain being smashed on concrete. Haven't scene RoboCop 2 in a very long time though, so I don't know how well it holds up today. The first movie's a classic however and a personal favourite. :^) 1 Share this post Link to post
