Editing a shuffle mod by adding new actors tutorial advice

Question

Fellow doomers, can I kindly ask you to give me some advice on how I can modify Scalianos 667 shuffle mod myself, meaning adding new weapons and monsters from the 667 repository?

I already have the Slade tool, but I don't know which files should I modify.As a sidenote, I dont plan to release the modified version, claiming it as mine. I just want to spice up my doom experience a bit.

 

Any tutorial or advice would be more than welcome. Please bear in mind that I am novice in doom editing but I am eager to learn.
