Obsidian Posted August 21, 2021 (edited) oddness ahead - v1.0 A few months ago, I proposed the idea of using a special resourse based on Xaser's excellent map dead.wire for the April installment of the Abyssal Speedmapping Sessions: all of the textures were ones from the wad (used with permission) and almost all the enemies were partially invisible and a bit more sneaky. It was a fun session and it produced some good maps, but after it I felt compelled to make something a bit more serious with the resources. To this end I held two six-hour streams on Twitch a few weeks back, where I (and also Fuzzball) made the bulk of this project: after that I spent a while tinkering with what I'd made, smoothing out the gameplay and adding some more quality-of-life changes. The result is a single map for Boom-compatible source ports, tested in PrBoom+ and ZDoom. Keep an eye out for the things you can't see... Heh, I actually gave a bit of consideration towards doing a dead.air tribute some time in the future, but to be perfectly honest I'm not as much of a fan of it as I am of dead.wire.
