THT: Threnody MAP12 UV Max in 50:50

This was for Beat 1000 Table Fillers Month, the month is about  to end, thus the first exit. Some strats may be actually correct, fun and even aggressive, but most of the demo, especially the later parts are coward-play.

That's a wrap! Sorry for the delay since the demo month end, have been out of town for a bit (I guess at least I don't have to update the sheet :^). Congratulations, again, *fanfare* to @Bdubzzz for winning this month, and also to @mhrz for 2nd place, and @GarrettChan for surviving long enough to get to 3rd place (also again).

 

Additionally, congratulations to all of the many participants this month, this has without a doubt blown all possible records for these events. 902 out of 1000 demos (could be said as an A in the US grading system :D) is an insane result, and likely 2-3 times larger than the number of demos from any other month. 55 participants is also crazy to me, pretty sure that's also at least double any other month, but I haven't checked. And we didn't end the month without beating @j4rio (thanks, @Master Medi) and just barely managed to achieve one other person recording Perdition's Gate other than me, although it took nearly the entire month for either of those to happen. :^) My only regret is not replacing or changing the tic rule on those red runs like a week before the month was over, which would have allowed for more demos and probably been more fair. Oh well. :P

 

Given how crazy active this month was and since everyone loves statistics, I decided I'd calculate a few random fun things for the month now it's over:

On a personal note, I'm pretty happy with the demos I've managed to put out this month, and I tried to pull myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible, which resulted in me clearing most of the Heretic IWAD and PWAD runs on the list, which was pretty cool to get into, as well as a bunch of ZDoom nonsense. I tried my best to avoid my own runs since I wanted to see what others could do with them, but still I did some that I figured no one else would bother with. Definitely some runs I put out this month that were complete crap, but some were at least not too bad, I hope.

 

Runs I'm most happy with:

I tried a couple runs that didn't work out as well, one was mny abyspe18 map 08 pacifist; it is quite a fun run, but 11 is very hard to get, so I decided it wasn't worth it and gave it up (got down to 12.06, but there's very little I think I can do to save more time :/). I wish I got Scythe X map 1 speed, though, but it was very hard to motivate myself to run that since it's such a piece of shit to grind. :D Will come back to it for sure, should be less painful to run with no deadline.
