Xfing Posted September 14, 2021 I don't die in Hell on Earth much at all anymore, while the initial level of Doom 2016 still kicks my ass on a regular basis. The shotgun is worse, the imps take like 60 hp with a single uncharged fireball, the soldiers are dicks too. I still stand by my opinion that Doom 2016 starts out harder than Eternal. 2 Share this post Link to post
Dubbag Posted September 14, 2021 I think 2016 is a more fun experience over all. 0 Share this post Link to post

I like the variety in the setting, the demon weakness system, the fun bosses... 2016 is still a great game too though. If they pull of a third one as good as the first two, then there will be a consummate modern DOOM trilogy for sure. 1 Share this post Link to post
MemeMind Posted September 15, 2021 Doom 2016 is actually very difficult, without the ssg. Hellknights, revenants, and barons feel so much more dangerous in D4 than DE. The movement of Eternal really makes every enemy less dangerous. 2 Share this post Link to post
KubaloBlackMT Posted September 15, 2021 I always assumed it was the fact that I didn't have those features added into Eternal in 2016's DOOM. Kind of like when you play an fps game that doesn't include a peek-shooting sort of mechanic and so you have to move your whole body in front of everyone's sight and hope you don't get killed. Also just to note if you have Air control on it becomes much easier 0 Share this post Link to post
