[PROJECT] Hakros Deja Vu 1.1

Hi everyone, have you ever had a deja vu ?

 

Here is my personal deja vu of Doom.

 

i'll hope you like it.... :-D !!

 

The Story

 

In the year 2372 after hundreds of years of mining operations, the UAC turned Mars into a toxic wasteland. When Earth government discovered that this extraction were producing the expulsion of toxic gases into the atmosphere, a war broke out for control of the planet. Now twenty years later, a fragile stalemate is in effect between the two factions but the UAC garrison remains ready to face any threat. But the UAC is conducting in secret the tests of the definitive weapon that will end the war once and for all. Today is the tests day...what could go wrong?

 

The map/pk3 integrates a copy of BDLite (By DavidN) by default.

 

For best experience of custom soundtrack and sounds i recommend you to use earphones.

Sooo....I was attempting to get the red key which seems to be in the hallways behind the yellow card doorway, but there are silver bars blocking the obvious path and there is no obvious way to get through. I don't know if there's a teleporter I missed somewhere, but the only keys I could find were the yellow and blue cards, so I'm guessing it's not behind those doors...the layout's a bit confusing but am I wrong?

Look at the corner of the room !

Behind the stairs !

 

PS: I was just modifying the map right now to put some more light !

Lol, thanks a lot! This doesn't exactly seem like a puzzle wad so I was just going around in circles and not thinking a switch would be right below stairs.

 

By any chance, could you list the custom music used?

Dont worry, probably i must improve some things.
The music are songs that i've buyed a license to use in projects.
Later I will tell you the titles... ;-) !

Yeah, the layout of the Waste Tunnels pastiche (with perhaps a drop or two of Underhalls as well?) is such that it can be quite difficult to find your way around without an automap, and the way monster closets constantly open up can't exactly help matters either.

I'm not a big fan of weapon mods, but this one was suprisingly good, the weapons were actually functional and useful (unlike most such mods). Well, maybe too useful, the game felt quite easy even though I played on UV. Are you sure the difficulty levels work properly? I played in GZdoom 4.6.1 and it throws these warnings during start:

Thanks for playing the map.

 

I wanted it to be frantic and fun rather than difficult, that's why I have put so much stuff.

 

The mod that use is DavidN's Brutal Doom Lite (it is not mine i mean)

 

As for the errors I will review it, thanks for notice me.
