Ludi Posted November 22, 2021 (edited) This is a demo for my upcoming Boom-compatible megaWAD Harvester for Doom II. This is a project that has mostly been of my creation, but with some help from friends and the wonderful Doom community. Screenshots: Spoiler FEATURES: -A custom palette, courtesy of @Dragonflywith some minor tweaks by myself -Music courtesy of @Jimmy -Custom weapons, including the ROTT pistol, AK47, flamethrower, and a nerfed rocket launcher -Custom monsters, mostly revamped variants of those already present in the classic lineup, but new monsters are present in the MAP33 test map that will be featured in later maps :^) -Liberal use of CC4TEX with some light splashes of OTEX here and there -Difficulty designed to be a little harder than Plutonia, but not too much harder -Eventually will be expanded to 4, 7 level episodes (28 maps in total). That's my goal but don't expect it to be concrete. -Made for source ports that support UMAPINFO and are limit removing+Boom compatible (Prboom+UMAPINFO fork, Woof!, newer versions of GZDoom) Here are some tidbits to know before/if you decide to play -4 levels are currently completed (MAP01 is kinda shitty in hindsight, and will definitely be replaced or reworked in the future) -The level design is entirely of my creation, but I will definitely be including the work of my friends as development progresses -Expect bugs, as I am the only tester with some light testing done by my friends -Custom music has not been added yet, but if you have suggestions for MIDIs, I am all ears ;^) -Feel free to give constructive criticism, ideas for future maps, and personal thoughts. It only helps me improve :^) -If you think something is too hard/easy, please let me know! -These are my first ever maps, so please take that into account. Ludi Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) Hi all! Episode 1 is nearing completion. I am sorry I have been silent for the last 3 weeks, but I have been hard at work behind the scenes. Ludi Posted January 17, 2022 I apologize, but I'm pulling a Sunder and shelving this project for the time being. I bit off way more than I can chew. I will be taking the best maps from this project and repurposing them into a smaller, but more cohesive megaWAD. Expect about 7-10 maps.
