Sniper Rifle in ZDoom

Has anyone made a ZDoom wad with a sniper rifle? I was just thinking about this after messing about with the console commands. I made a zoom feature by using these console commands.

BIND "MOUSE2" "FOV 30;R_DRAWPLAYERSPRITES 0;ECHO ZOOM-ACTIVE"
BIND "X" "FOV 90;R_DRAWPLAYERSPRITES 1;ECHO ZOOM-INACTIVE"

It's a bit dodgy that you have to use separate 'in' and 'out' buttons, does anyone have anything better (maybe using toggle or alias?)

I thnk a level with a sniper rifle would be cool. ***DooM HITMAN*** maybe...

Yeah, you could use an alias.

alias +zoom "FOV 30;R_DRAWPLAYERSPRITES 0;ECHO ZOOM-ACTIVE"
alias -zoom "FOV 90;R_DRAWPLAYERSPRITES 1;ECHO ZOOM-INACTIVE"
bind MOUSE2 +zoom

A sniper rifle sounds cool. It'll be useful for taking out an arch-vile at long range.

Considering that you can get awards in skulltag i could imagine if someone inserted the headshot option in any zdoom type of port. AFAIK a skin pixel size can be bigger than the original doom marine sprites but the actual player size remains the same (unless someone has been messing around with dehacked). You'd probably have to make new sprites for the headshot thing though.

A sniper rifle would be perfect for doom headshots, or a shotgun.

Maybe, to differentiate between a headshot and a bodyshot, you could make the head a different object from the body. It could get complicated, someone who knows better please shower me with wisdom.

I am currently working for a new weapon pack that has a sniper rifle that shoots railgun ;-), just a few days and I hope to ship it.
