Valentine Posted December 17, 2021 Hi. Just wanted to brag a bit about the miniepizode for vanilla Doom I'm working on. This will definitely have a different atmosphere than the original Doom levels. The gameplay will probably feel more like Duke3D or Half-Life. But I want to use as much of the original game assets as possible because I want the epizode to fit on a 1.44MB diskette and be playable on old 486 machines. Feel free to follow or leave a comment on the ModDb page. Thanks.https://www.moddb.com/mods/ridge-facility 11 Share this post Link to post

Dusty_Rhodes Posted December 17, 2021 Looks really cool. Love the idea that the wad will fit on a floppy and be optimized for old hardware. Very cool. 1 Share this post Link to post
Uni Posted December 17, 2021 Lovely and creative usage of the stock textures, it's something I really like seeing folks do. I especially love the 6th screenshot, it looks really cool. 1 Share this post Link to post

Stupid Bunny Posted December 18, 2021 I should send you a check or money order so you can mail me back your wad on a diskette, and I can play it on my 486 machine right proper Creative use of stock textures always hits the best, and you’ve managed it without even going overboard on details—visually tasteful and balanced in all of these shots. Plus that doomcute forklift is actually pretty convincing 1 Share this post Link to post
