Doom Pictures Thread 2022

GzDoom 4.8.2 + Scythe (2003).

Never played it before. Just finished the M28. Noticed two conditions, required to finish this level fine on UV:

 

1. Ignore all opponents with the exception of the chaingunner, who guards the sphere at the end of the level. This also applies to the spider at the end of the level, except if you shoot him with a BFG.

2. If you don’t have time to reach the sphere, although you don’t linger anywhere and cut corners, and HP resets to zero, then you missed an important point - at the beginning of the level you need to make a rocketjump by shooting into the space between the platform with the blue skull and the place opposite, from where you can do bounce. This will give you the correct number of seconds, what is needed to complete the level succefully.

Map 1 of Sunder completed, 21 more torturous maps to go.

I very much struggled with this map because the arch viles would refuse to die.

I think by the time I complete map 2, I would've been able to learn a language.

The first time I played Sunder, I didn't know a single thing about it, other than it was hard and had lots of monsters. No knowledge, no research: just heard that this thing was tough. But I eventually completed Map 01 on HMP, with a million saves, using an overpowered weapons mod - "the fuck you mean there's a 'Map 2'?"

 

I'd like to think I'm a little more educated these days, and I'm sure I'll go back for another blistering one day.

I just made this myself to try it out, and it owns

Everything looks brighter even though no lighting levels were harmed in the making of this experiment

 

EDIT: Tried it with The Living End too

When remaking The Living End for Switcheroom II, I made sure to leave a lot of the level with an open sky. Amazing how much it changes the mood of the level even though I kept a lot of the monster placement and difficulty the same.

incredibly early shot, i haven't used doom builder to make a sector in close to 10 years. i felt like finally doing something about that.

some more progress. i actually did work on a map nearly a decade ago, but i lost the file with time, so this map is a remake of that initial map that i lost.
