This was a lot of fun and I wouldn't have known it was a beta if you hadn't mentioned it. Two little comments I have: the blue tint underwater felt a bit too strong, as it made it hard to see, and there were a couple of the sentinel enemies that seemed like they were placed twice in the same spot, causing them not to fire until I killed one of them (I'm not a mapper so I could be misinterpreting what happened, but I think I have it right). This was in Yanagi Castle, off to the side of the door that has the 4 seals blocking it.

 

That bonus level was a great throwback. Really cool.

HOT FIX Uploaded
- Fixed the dialogue for Scholar Koji that potentially softlocks the game during Quest 4
- Fixed the Stormweaver not being able to alert enemies
- Fixed geometry Bugs in "Narita Estate" and "Narita Castle"
- Fixed the Sentinel Stuck in "Yanagi Castle"

- Added new Frames of Animation for the Rise of the Triad Enemies for when they are hit by Fire damage

- Fixed Iron Key Swit h in "Narita Castle" that did not correctly check for a key
- Fixed Tags for "berserker Growler" and "Spectral Goblin" to show their special tags

Yes this mod is still alive and Beta is still on going, Feedback and Suggestions are still welcome.

A New Update!

Public Beta (RC2)

  • Changed Water color saturation to have better visibility.
  • Added 2 New Mini-bosses: 
    Spoiler
    • "Big" John Badsen added to the Secret dungeon  "San Nicolas Island" 
    • Soulkeeper Taka added to the dungeon "The Dragon Temple"
  • More Ambient noises added in the overworld.
  • More fixes with grammar and typos.
  • Minor texturing changes in various areas.

It's finally here, Abysm 2: Spirit Falcon release v1.0!

  • Removed Railing in building exterior of the main keep in "Narita Castle" to prevent possible out of bounds skip

  • New Track for the final boss, Composed by PRIMEVAL
  • Added Torches in Gun Fort Ridge for better aesthetics and navigation
  • Fixed the dialoged function for Bounties so that it doesn't close each time you claim a bounty
  • Fixed Textures for Narita Estate
  • Fixed Torches in Yanagi Castle's Gatehouse to block a potential camp spot

- Added Light Crossbow and Crossbow as pickups to Narita Castle and Skull Forest Respectively
- Added pickup graphic for Light Crossbow
- New Thief's Set selection image in the Menu to reflect the new Light Crossbow pickup sprite
